Install FanCurve Mac

FanCurve Mac is distributed directly from the website, not through the Mac App Store. It uses a Developer ID signed DMG and needs a privileged helper for fan speed control.

Installation steps

1. Open FanCurveMac-0.1.0.dmg.
2. Drag FanCurve Mac.app into the Applications folder.
3. Launch FanCurve Mac from Applications.
4. Approve the administrator prompt when you enable fan control.
5. Use the menu bar fan icon to check fan percent, RPM, and temperature.

Helper permission

The helper applies fan control commands and returns control to macOS when requested.

Purpose

Apply fan control commands and return to macOS automatic fan control.

Before removing the app

1. Turn fan control off or choose the system-control reset action.
2. Quit FanCurve Mac. The app asks the helper to reset fan control again on quit.
3. Remove the app and helper.
